You can walk into a room and spot them. They seem fine when you talk to them but every now and again, across the room, you catch them looking off into the distance at an invisible point that maybe, they once reached. They laugh a little different. They hesitate a little more. Now they know what it feels like. And something about their eyes when they listen to music says

Best night ever.
this was a great night. first we got drunk and high in a hotel parking lot. then we saw david beckham and got hit on by a really old smelly guy at the game. then there was the after party where we were ‘those girls’. then we drove back to lawrence and danced at the tap room and a gay man tried to hook us up with his lesbian friends because he thought we were into that since we were out on a saturday night in soccer jerseys. then uncle buck tried to get us to sleep with him and his friend at three a.m. i went on a phone call, and when i got back, lundie was in the middle of a spoon fest in an RV. she left her phone in that black pit, and somehow it managed to find its way to milton’s. excellent.View →
